A private airplane that was flying into Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) in Kabul, Afghanistan to rescue stranded American citizens and Afghan allies allegedly was told to turn back or they would be shot down.
In the past 24 hours, American officials in charge of giving clearance at the airport told fellow Americans they would be fired upon if they didn’t leave, Mary Beth Long, a former Department of Defense official, told American Greatness in an exclusive interview.
The plane ended up landing elsewhere in Afghanistan, she said. Now Americans are reportedly being advised to leave Kabul completely as the Taliban is expected to start rounding people up after the last of the U.S. military leaves.
Some American citizens, she said, have made the perilous journey to HKIA four times, only to be turned away at the gates each time. As a result of the Biden Administration’s inexplicable actions, some members of the military, and other officials have “gone rogue” and taken matters into their own hands, Long said.
Sgt. Nicole Gee, one of 12 Marines slain in the ISIS suicide bombing last week, was particularly helpful in sneaking Americans through the gate, in defiance of orders, according to Long.
Other Marines guarding the gates have PTSD, she said, from being forced to block the entrance of the airport from American citizens desperate to flee the country, knowing they face almost certain death at the hands of the Taliban if they don’t get out. Long said she has fielded calls from crying Marines who said the situation at the airport was more stressful to them than any of the hard combat they’ve experienced in the war-torn country.
Long stressed that the Biden Administration is flat-out lying about the Americans who have been left behind in Afghanistan. Jen Psaki, and other regime officials have insisted repeatedly that the State Department for months has been contacting every American in the country urging them to leave, and the ones who are still there just refused. In truth, she alleges, there were thousands of Americans in Afghanistan who were not on the State Department’s database for various reasons, and were never contacted. Long explains they were expected to coordinate their departure through a State Department website portal, which was impossible for many of them.
Long said special operators have been trying to locate an American family of four from Texas (blue passport holders) who haven’t been heard from for days. She said they need to get in touch with their point of contact in the United States in order to coordinate their escape.
Throughout the weekend, multiple reports surfaced from special operators on the ground in Afghanistan indicating that the Biden regime is actively thwarting their efforts to rescue people desperate to get out of the Taliban-controlled country as the August 31 deadline looms.
A retired special operator in the United States, who has been overseeing rescue teams in Afghanistan sent journalist Emily Miller a desperate message, which she shared on Twitter.
Fellow Americans—we need a significant movement to take place to save the poor Afghan people and stranded American citizens.
There are several groups of retired special operations guys and other veterans who have gathered significant private funding and moved lots of assets to begin rescuing people from Afghanistan since our government refuses to do their job.
These groups have sent private planes into Kabul and been told they could not.
They have shuttled busses of American citizens to the Kabul airport and have been told to leave and that they were not allowed to fly out.
Some of these other groups have been granted access to fly into neighboring countries to launch tactical flights to recover personnel just to have the
@StateDept
come behind them and shut the door. The U.S. Government has given rosters with the names of all our Afghan partners and American citizens to the Taliban, saying “we did it so the Taliban would allow them in.” We all know that’s not the real reason, and who would be that stupid anyway!
The stats they are pushing on the news are false. There are many more American citizens who want to escape but have no option because our own government keeps halting all actions.
We who are trying to save these people have run into roadblock after roadblock.
Everyone can understand that this is an embarrassment to the current administration but that’s no reason to stop these valiant acts of selfless service.
If you believe in the sanctity of human life then you need to make your voice heard as loud as possible.
This is the worst disaster in American history and being magnified by this pure evil attempt to stop the actions of those who truly care. This must stop!
“The only way to put and end to this is if everyone will band together and make your voice heard in person and through every platform available. Go to your State Capitols! Call every politician you know!”
“Let them know this entire @JoeBiden admin needs to be removed from the top down, including @SecDef, @thejointstaff, @SecBlinken
and everyone else involved in this despicable coverup that will cost the lives of many Americans, and our loyal Afghan partners! -Ret. Special Ops”
Asked to respond to the Miller’s Tweet thread, Long told American Greatness that it was all true. She also agreed that the actions of the Biden Administration in Afghanistan can be described as “evil.”
The Taliban was expected to overrun the Kabul airport Monday morning, after the military evacuated, Miller reported.
“Private advice being circulated by deputy assistant secretary of defense is for all visa holders/high risk pers, including those who had submitted their names to an evacuation manifest, to leave Kabul immediately. ‘As soon as the US is out, the roundups will begin.’”

As of August 30, the U.S. had reportedly evacuated 114,000 Afghans, and 5,400 U.S. citizens since Aug. 14.
According to the State Department, there were about 350 U.S. citizens in Afghanistan still trying to leave the country on Monday. That number does not include Green Card holders.
Update:
The last U.S. military plane has left Afghanistan, leaving hundreds of Americans trapped behind enemy lines.

Joe Biden, it should be remembered, promised during his ABC interview that the U.S. military would stay until every American had been evacuated.
